Ever realize you've been holding your breath or grinding your teeth without realizing it? Deep breathing helps. So does drawing.


Unraveling

  • Notice an area of tightness in your body. Quickly draw how that feels.

  • Take a deep breath.

  • Don’t lift the pen as you begin to draw looser, slowly unravelling the shape into something new.

  • Flow with this for a minute or two as you ponder “the thing that happens if I’m not holding on so tightly is…”
