I know how it feels to lose yourself while wearing so many hats – teacher, caregiver, leader, healer, parent. Those roles are even more challenging during the time of Covid-19. You ARE still here, just buried so deep in obligation that the whispers of your heart are hard to acknowledge. With Intentional Creativity®, I will help you access your innate wisdom and co-create the change you are seeking, one brushstroke at a time.

I am humbled and amazed to tell you this is the first acrylic painting, and face, I have ever done. Seriously! (I had a good teacher.)  Universal Soul chose to present herself to me while exploring Tea with the Midnight Muse with the founder of Intentional Creativity® Shiloh Sophia McCloud.

This is a story of rebirth.

On paper, my life looked great: Director/Producer for Atlantic Canada’s #1 morning TV show, sons finishing high school and finding their way in life, two-decade plus marriage, progressive faith community. I could handle the 5:30 AM starts – they gave me time later in the day to walk with my dad and the dog, put my feet up, read or nap, and prep homemade dinners. When my folks moved in, I was available to take them to appointments. I was available for my kids after school. I was available for committee meetings. I was available for my husband when he got sick.

I was burnt out. I was clinically depressed. I felt trapped with responsibilities.

I know you want to be your true, authentic self. To do that, you need to escape false frameworks and reconnect with your inner wisdom. Women have suffered too long with these unhelpful and oppressive frameworks and stories. The trick is, your critical voice upholds these frameworks and throws up roadblocks, making you doubt your own ability to make change.

I get that making those changes is far from easy. That’s why I love Intentional Creativity®. The process acts as a powerful catalyst to quiet your critical voice so that you can access what you already know in your heart.

When you commit to yourself and set aside time for yourself to explore your creativity with me, you have an opportunity to meet a community of like-minded seekers live via Zoom and on our private Facebook group. Using processes explored by thousands of women around the world, you’ll create a beautiful and unique piece of art with me.

I’ll guide you step by insightful step, each stroke bringing you closer to your heart. The experience will set you up for a practice where you can recognize unhelpful frameworks and stop the critical voice from holding you back.

Won’t it be wonderful to reconnect to yourself in a deep, meaningful way and share your learnings with new-found friends who have experienced Intentional Creativity® with you?

MY HEART-BASED GUARANTEE

I believe the Intentional Creativity® process has huge potential to forge connections with forgotten parts of ourselves. But you must do the work.

If you participate fully in a class or workshop and it doesn’t meet your expectations, you will receive a full refund, but I reserve the right to ask questions to see how I can better meet your needs.

The Intentional Creativity® process is not therapy, nor is it intended to replace any form of therapy. Creativity can be deep work; therefore, the process can be triggering for people in the process of healing. It is your responsibility to look after your mental and physical well-being and to seek professional help if required.

Questions

What if I don’t consider myself an artist?

Perfect! This is about communication and expression, not artistic ability. If you can let go of your adult expectations and play with paint like a child, you’ll do just fine. What you create is for you. You can’t get this wrong. Your harshest critic will be yourself, and by the time we’re done, even that critic will be gentler. I will help with mastering the basic tools and skills you need.

What art supplies will I need?

Upon signup, you will be provided with a list of supplies. You can purchase them online or at most art supply stores, and many deliver. I use Golden Acrylic paints, which are a higher-end brand, but other acrylics are fine. For a budget-minded approach, you can use what you have, borrow brushes, switch canvas to paper, clip coupons, and/or raid your kids’ art supplies.

Will I be able to keep up with the pace of your workshop instruction?

I will keep things concise and moving along, but if you get behind no worries, I’ll be sending a link to the recordings. What I will ask is to not skip over anything to catch up - trust the process. Know that you absolutely cannot get this wrong. You will work at a pace that suits you and there will be breaks between sessions. Some participants might finish in a weekend, others over a period of weeks. There is no ahead or behind. You are right where you need to be at any time.

Is this therapy? Can I submit it for insurance?

The Intentional Creativity® process is not therapy, nor is it intended to replace any form of therapy. It is not covered by any medical plans. This is purely an educational and informational experience. Creativity can be deep work; therefore, the process can be triggering for people in the process of healing. It is your responsibility to look after your mental and physical well-being, take breaks, and to seek professional help if needed.

What is your refund policy?

I believe the Intentional Creativity® process has huge potential to forge connections with forgotten parts of ourselves. But you must do the work. If you participate fully in a class or workshop and it doesn’t meet your expectations, you will receive a full refund, but I reserve the right to ask questions to see how I can better meet your needs.

Why is the course this price?

This is not paint night. This is a proven process of self-expression and healing delivered by a certified Intentional Creativity® coach. You will have access to instruction and exploratory exercises along with community building zoom calls, email check-ins, and membership in a private Facebook group. Course expenses have been lowered by not delivering this in person in a studio venue and by allowing participants to source their own supplies. However if you find the price prohibitive please contact me. There may be scholarships available.

How do I know this really works?

Tens of thousands of women (and a few hundred men) have discovered Intentional Creativity® is the quickest way to self-expression and well-being. But don’t take my word for it. Check out the research done by founders Shiloh Sophia McCloud and Jonathan McCloud at https://musea.org/reach/ And while you’re on the Musea website, take a look around to see what women like you are creating along with our founders’ vision for the future.

What if I don’t like my painting?

I think you will. But, even if you don’t, your job is to do the process – that is where the value lies. Take performance pressure off yourself right now! It is only paint on canvas – you could paint over it, burn it, gift it to someone, or turn it into a dartboard. But you will have gained wisdom which can’t be unlearned. That is the part that is priceless, not the painting.

Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.
